Festival of Young Composers

The Competition for Young Composers, organised by the Michael Hurd Memorial Fund, in conjunction with the Petersfield Musical Festival, has the public performance and adjudication of the entries on Saturday 6th February in The Studio at the Petersfield School.
The morning begins at 10am, when a variety of new compositions written for piano, brass, woodwind and strings, as well as choral pieces will be performed. Awards for the winners and runners-up in each of the three classes (Age 14 and under; 16 and under; 19 and under) will be presented at 12.15pm.
